IMPLEMENTER

Implementers are creative and abstract thinkers who combine high analytical skills with a desire for results orientation. They need freedom to explore new ideas and approaches to solutions and the opportunity to test their results.

They generally take great pleasure in solving problems. Implementers are often perfectionistic and theoretically oriented.Their high degree of factual orientation means that they have rather little interest in interpersonal contacts.

LET'S GET IT DONE!

Doers are intelligent and both creative and abstract thinkers. They find it difficult to make decisions in the long term. Their competitive drive for results is blocked by an excessive urge for perfection. Doers are quick thinkers, but their response is driven by a desire to explore all possible solutions. They have difficulty maintaining a positive attitude, causing their performance to fluctuate and their decisions to be delayed. They need a supervisor who is understanding and with whom they can identify.

Doers need latitude to research and the opportunity to review their results because they enjoy solving problems. They tend to get angry when they are wrong and seek supporting facts even after a decision has already been made. Others may consider them reserved and cold. They may become authoritarian if their hard work is not recognized. Their egocentricity is seen by some as presumptuous. Doers are sensitive to the needs of others and show good reactions to an occasional shock.
